Fifa Ultimate Team And How I Earned 50,000 Coins in 6 Hours

Trading skills,that's right that's how i earned 50,000 coins in just over 6 hours.Now I'm not going to sit here and give you a rough run down of how i built my team and how i earned 50,000 coins so damn quickly,no,what I'm going to do is tell you word for word and trade by trade just what i did and how i went about it,what players i brought and sold and what games i played,trust me i am not the best fifa player and i know i am not the best trader out there but i just have a good eye for who is selling well and who isn't.When i tell you who i brought i will also tell you why i brought that particular player.I started out with no coins and no decent players to sell at 10 in the morning and by just after 4 in the afternoon i had 50,000 coins at the top of my screen,well actually it was 50,350,Here's how i did it.
Getting Some Starting funds
I had 5,000 coins and decided that i was sick of buying gold packs and getting nothing but three high 70- rated players that were basically crap,so i told myself that's it no more buying packs as they are a waste of money,save your money up then buy decent players on the cheap on the market instead of hoping you get them in a pack,so i spent my last 5,000 on a pack and guess what?....That's right i get Pedro Leon rated 76,Thiago Gentil rated 71 and Defour rated 77,have you ever heard of these player that play for obscure bloody teams,no neither had i,i also got a 95 contract card which is handy as contract cards now hold their value,a couple of 80 contract cards and some team training.Right lets sell some stuff,I put all three players on at 200 starting and 350 BIN,i put the 95 contract on at 1000 starting and 1500 BIN and then waited,1 hour later they had all sold at BIN apart from 1 player who went for the starting price of 200,i now had 2400 coins to trade with,let the fun and games begin.

The First Few Buys
So searching through the list of trades i first found Stuart Downing and he was up for 500 starting,so i put in a bid of 900 and surprise surprise i won,next i saw Craig Bellamy for starting price of 1000,i put ina bid and kept getting outbid but eventually won him at 1400 which i was very surprised at,so i was no virtually out of cash so i put the two players up for sale,firstly i knew by doing a little research that the BIN price of Stuart Downing is around 1700 so i put him up for starting price of 1000 and BIN at 1800,then put Craig Bellamy up for starting price of 1200 and BIN of 2950,abt 45 Min's later both had sold at the BIN prices which meant i now had 4850 to play with,bargain 45 mins gone and double the coins.Seeing as Stuart Downing had sold so well i went out and brought 2 more,one at 950 and one at 1100,and put them both up at 1800 BIN.i then searched for Anderson of Man utd and found him with 10 secs left at 2550,i went in at 2700 and won.Bargain,i then put Anderson up for starting price of 2800 and BIN of 5000.One of the Downings went for 1550 and the other BIN at 1800,Anderson went at 5000,Yippee,i now had 8600 coins and had only been trading for about 1hr and 30mins,Now to truly start shopping with my bigger budget.
8600 Coins And Progressing
Now i could by bigger and better players and hopefully make more profit,firstly i thought i would check out the defenders available and saw John Terry for starting price of 5500 with a BIN price of 12000,thought i would go in at 5500 and see what happens,as it was i only went up against a couple of other people and ended up getting him for 7200,then i brought Shay Given for 1100 and put him up for 1100 start and BIn for 2200 and put John Terry up for starting price of 7500 and BIN of 12000,(chancing my luck) Luckily they both sold for BIN price although i had to put Given up again as he didn't sell first time,so i now had 22800 coins which meant i was now in the big league when it came to player buying.
22800 Coins And Upwards
I decided to search the foreign markets and i managed to find with only seconds left Del Piero rated at 89 for a starting price of 10,000,i bidded and nobody else did so i won, I then put him up with a BIN of 14950.I then found Vidic of Man utd for 9,100 and put him up for BIn of 12,000.I also found Michael Carrick for 2950 and put him up for BIN of 4000.Del Piero went for 14950,Vidic went for 12000 and Michael Carrick was bidded on for the full hour and went for 3600.This brought my grand total up to 31300 and i had only been playing for about 3hours 45minutes.
Next i bidded on Tevez and won at 13650 and put him up for BIN of 19000, And i managed to capture Ronaldhino for a bid of 17650 which wiped me out coin wise.I had no coins and two players to sell,Tevez i had to put up twice as my BIn was high but he eventually sold for 19,000,then With Ronaldhino i just put him up with a starting price of 18500 and no BIN.He was bidded on like crazy in the last 10 minutes and ended up going for 24600.I now had 43600 coins,but i wanted to hit the 50,000 mark as i had my eye on Kaka for my squad.

The final Hurdle
I had now been playing for nearly 5hours and 30 minutes and knew i only needed a couple of good sales to make 50,000 coins, so with 43600 in the bank i went for it.I found Lampard going for 32,500 and won, then put him up with a no BIn and a starting price of 35600,there was a full on bidding war as there seemed to be a shortage of Lampard's and he eventually went for 39250.I had done it i had reached my goal of 50,000 coins in just over 6 hours,now i could continue on to 100,000 because i felt i could achieve that.

though where on earth did you find a bellamy for 1400, a terry for 7200 and a ronaldinho for under 20,000?
also i'm surprised at how cheap you sell them for, which i guess is why you get quick sales.
i've sold andersons for 7000-8000, a vidic for 21000 and a ronaldinho for 45000
i do like to push my luck with the selling though :)
@seal. if you look around for long enough you can easily pick up the players that cheap and yes I think you were pushing your luck selling that high.did you sell ronaldhino in the end,that seems really overpriced.good luck to you though.

on a related note, are their separate markets for ps3 and 360 players? i'm on ps3 so perhaps average prices and so on may vary quite a bit between systems?

The best player i got in a pack was Xavi 87 i was one of the lucky ones.

@seal i think there is a difference between xbox and playstation markets,as Ronaldhino is available on xbox for no more than 25,000 and thats high.Glad your having fun trading though.
@ryan11 im still collecting the money and trading,think i will shoot for 400,000 then buy a whole new team,my team sucks at the moment,im on xbox and yes we can have a game,you may be surprised when you beat me as im not brilliant but do love playing it,My skill lies in trading!!!

i have a good team but i cant seem to make a profit by winning matches because i have no money in the bank, all my profits from winning matches go on buying contracts, i dont have that many players available to rotate. and also the fitness is affected i need more players, only solution i can think of is play a bunch of games with bronze people which i find boring or sell some of my big names, how much does fat ronaldo lucas cris matuzalem and maxwell generally go for
@nathan11 unfortunatly thats a toughy,yeah you are right you either need to sell some players then trade players for a couple of days to increase your money instead of playing matches or sell one player who has 1 contract left and buy the same player for the same money or less that has more contracts,u will be surprised at how many some of the players have,i had a yaya toure with 1 contract sold him for 1200 and paid 1100 for a yaya toure with 19 contract,all the players you mentioned are not worth selling,i would sell one of them personally and then buy and trade players untill you had 20,000 then buy a few consumable packs and a couple of good players and start the process over again.
its a shame the ps3 market is so inflated,
i think its kinda crashed recently, its much harder to find a bargin

@bilboo yes there are a few Defoe is quite cheap around 4-5000 and can even be sold on at a profit,he is nice and quick though,im currently using him,iwould reccomend valencia from man utd as well becaus he is also quick and has every trick in the book :)

hey man thanks for some tips on these players. I have a pretty good team which took a bit of time working out. To tell you the truth i got lucky with one pack i bought which got me a gerrard which i sold for 150000. But i went nuts and spent it all on useless packs. I have finally brought myself a little bit back since i now have pato and hulk as my forwards. I actually suck st the game but i am now addicted in trying to find the best deals and buying and selling players lol.
Hey, I have a couple tips of my own. for optimum deals, try selling at peak times and buying off peak. This is so that there is fewer competition for the amazing deals out there and then when you come to sell them, there will be a lot of people online and so many more potential customers. However, to get the truly best deals searching all the time is still best and can even find great deals at peak time as this is also when what i call the, dumb players, sell their players. Just a few tips there
No problem ankit,i have the same issue,im just average at the game but really enjoy trading to get the best team possible to give me an advantage,@mr money,yes you are right the time you sell can play a factor.
I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, so what would be a peak time here.
@ankit,peak times no matter where you live are always from 4pm when the kids get in from school to about 1am when the adults go to bed,i find a good time to buy is 7am

@jimmy p.crouch doesnt go for a lot,he did when the game was first released but not now.lennon should go alright id put him up for starting price of 5000 and BIN of 7500,he'll go for BIN and u get 3000 profit :) everyones a winner

Hi wardy,glad it helped,with regards to the players u own,kuyt start at 1000 with no BIN,Downing start at 800 with BIN of 1600 and as for the rest you will have to figure that out,i cant give away all my secrets,as for trading i have about 15 people form here that i trade with on a regular basis as i always seem to have about 15 players to sell at any one time, my gamertag is warchild1975,do not get offended if i dont accept straight away as a full time job and my writing and a wife tend to leave not enough hours left in the day,im on all day friday though.

ive used this tip for about 2 weeks and have transformed my sqaud from GK Given 85, CB Kompany 84, CB Lescott, RB Zabaleta 80, LB Baines 80, CM Carrick 84, CM Maxi 82, CM Downing 81,CAM Nasri 86, ST Owen 79, ST Bent 79.
and have added lampard 87 gerrard 90 and tores 89 making in total about 200,000
i play ultimate team on xbox and every so often my players contracts run out and i dont know how to renew them. i know i have contract cards but cant find them will someone help me?

@LYALL go to the player that needs the contracts and then press x and it will take you to the consumables screen, they should be in there.

@ wardy do some market research see how much hes selling for i belive hes a lvl 84 so he should go for a few thousand coins but ye market research does help :]

@wardy, yep sams got the right advice m8,do some research,make sure ur cheap but not the cheapest,plus from 12,000 to 20,000 should only take a few hours,i would try and pick up a theo walcott for 10-11,000 then sell him at starting of 12950 and BIN of 16,000,do that twice and u have ur 20,000,trust me he i s one of the quickest selling players.

@eddiesff unfortunatly the ps3 market is different from the xbox,on xbox tevez goes for between 13-17,000 and dani alves goes for around 30,000

I have roughly 2000 coins in the bank, could have 12000 but was silly. As soon as I hit 5000 coins (managed twice so far.) I bought a gold pack. Both times I got 3 gold players with an overall of 75-79. I have Dirk Kuyt and Liedson which are both 82 Gold Strikers I think, do you have any advice for how much I should sell them for? And any of them other useless Gold players too. I was thinking of just selling my whole team and starting from scratch then trading my way upto getting loads of coins. If I sold everything I had how much do you think I'd make? Around 9 76-82 Gold players. A silver defender, Rare bronze manager (lol) and some gold contracts and training... Hope you can help.
@thomas.that was silly packs are dangerous.kuyt and leidson wont go for over a grand,about 8-900 each, reckon u would only get about 9-10000 for your squad.75 players u may as well discard as you get 300 coins for discarding,if they are shiny u get 600 coins upwards for discarding
Ohhz.. That's a shame, was expecting better but thanks so much for the advice before I messed up (again.) Spent my 2000 coins on Stuart Downing - 900 coins (thought it was a bargain.) Gilardinho - 500 coins (looked an okay deal.. 80 overall.) and lastly, Ambrosini - 500 coins (Same again.. 80 overall, caught my eye.) And lastly (a lol deal.) Me and my mates were in a party just talking and one of my friends said they're better than me, so I challenged him to a match on UT. He was so full of himself he offered me Schweinsteiger if I won, and.. What did I get, 4-3 up at 90mins and he hits the cross bar so I got Schweinsteiger. Any advice on what to do with these players? By the way.. Thanks for the fast response, much appreciated! :)

I'm good at the game and my team is amazing, I do exactly what the guide does, I recommend lurking around the 1 hour area of time left for players to sell, because some very oblivious people will let go of precious players at ridiculous prices sometimes, if you don't see anyone that catches your eye within around 10 minutes, stop looking, and do it again later, hope it helped, because I have over 122000 coins, that I made doing this, but with position cards instead, but both work.

@thomas, i would sell a couple of your best players then just use the coins from the sales to start buying low price players that sell well such as anderson,valencia,defoe etc then build your way up from there.i reckon swienstiger will go for around the 8-900 mark and downing has dropped off a little but u should still put him up for start of 800 and BIN of 1500
@elliot hulk is too pricey,i dont know what u paid for him but i brought mine for 16900 and sold for 19200, i would suggest putting him up for 17500 start and BIn of 18950, only if it would make u a profit thou

Was extremely happy to discover all of them sold for the 1800 BIN I put them up for! I was so happy infact that I had made 2600 coins from just Stuart Downing's.. That I bought another 3 and I'm hoping that another 3 lots of 1800 coin BINs will be waiting for me next time I go on UT! :D

just one thing to say the guide is good but u did some bad math in here, at the John Terry and shay given part, also be aware if you don't know yet fifa10 has a thing where when you sell a player you don't get 100% of the money there is a fraction taken away, so if you had like 0 coins and sold a player for 30000 you would only get around 28700 or something like that, make sure you always make a profit.

sam2748 what i would recommend is picking a league of your choice say la liga and then get the best players from that league such as ronaldo and messi and ounce youve built your team not only will you get a good rating but will also get a decent chemisrty. remember to get all players from the league you chose.

lower league i reckon it was walcott at one time,best i did was pick him up for 8500 and sold for 19,200
prob the best is if you could get ronaldo for 400,000 he goes for 500,000 all the time which would give ya 100,000,reckon its do-able

@ryan once ur on ther u need to create an account using the same name u sign in with on ur xbox/ps3 it will then transfer ur team to it and baptista was the worst player ever to sell for me it took 7 try's but then the next day i saw one with a bid of 12750 which is way overpriced i got 1700 i think

@Kieran, try buying Stuart Downing's for either buyouts of under 1000 or bidding on him at low prices. I bought out a Downing today for 950 and sold him on for 1500. Then bidded on two more, one for 450 and the other for 750, I was very surprised to get one for 450, managed to sell them both for 1400 each so I was very happy. Any ideas on how much I should sell John Terry on for a profit guys? I have two, bought one for 7150 coins and the other for 3650. The second one caught my eye 10 seconds from ending with only a 1200 bid! Then a full-on bidding war until I finally got him for a bid of 3650, bargain.

At the moment I'm buying Michael Carricks at around the 2000 mark and selling them on for 2800-3950. So far I've bought three Carricks. One for 1800, one for 1900, and the other for 2000. Then sold one for 2800, one for 3500 and the other for 3950. Quite a little bit of money there. Also, I find buying John Terrys for low prices and selling them on for around 7500-8500 coins very good.
haha, I hope these players can come in and leave their comments. I doubt they are happy that you buy and sell them so cheaply.

@nilly yeah thats about right,you will quickly see who is hot right now and who isnt by how many of them sell,if you see a 10,000 coin player go for anything between 10 and 19k you know he is hot.12,000 would get you yobo of course if not then maybe walcott if your lucky,he has always been hot being the quickest player on the game.

The fastest player in the game is not Walcott, the 94 Messi has 96 pace, but then again thats too much money to get close to buying him consistently.
@deols007 i played a couple of matches and sold one or two rubbish players..I think i had around 2500 something like that .the lat time i started from scratch after improving my squad with the coins ihad earned,i was down to 10,000 and am now about 12 hours of playing later at 154,553

@young player stop playing matches and start trading players for a profit.Then u can improve ur squad with all the coins u have,spend one day at it and make good decisions on players and u should be able to make 20-30,000

@stoney i'd go straight for the money,dont waste time playing matches unless u desperatly need that 400 coins for 15 mins of playing,i tend to play matches only while im waiting for players to sell and thats only because most of my players have over 50 contract and i have about 3 pages of gold 95 rated contact cards.

to everyone i have worked out a really easy way to make money make a new xbox live account go on ultimate team and delete all your bronze players you should get 400 then go back to your normal ultimate team on your normal account and put a bronze player op for 400 bin then go back to your new account and buy the bronze player meaning you will get 400 coins heres the beuty of it delete your new accounts club then with the next club repeat ive done tis for a hour now and i have mayed about 15000 coins its borin but works.

@youngplayer, Rossi of Villarreal is a good buy. Really search for cheap ones. Sumtimes u can get him for under 2k and sell for 3 to 3.5k. So don't purchase for more than 2.5k. Podolski, buy 4k sell 5.5k to 6. Forlan can be found for 5 to 7k on occasions and goes for about 8to 9.5k.
Do check though I havnt done any of those for a few weeks. Good luck getting ur moo la back.

Don't ever buy gold packs, everyone who has got someone good out of a pack has most proberly spent at least that on gold packs, heres an example, i bought 3 gold jumbo packs for 45k, got nothing sent all to the trade pile, then found out i had won tevez so went to get and as i already had 1 in my club and my trade pile was full i had to discard him. There you go 60k wasted in the space of 5 mins lol

@sunk u can pick up a carrick for under 2k sumtimes and sell for around 3k to 3.5k sumtimes. U really need to just buy really cheap players and make couple of hundred here and there until u get to 20k. Always found Juan cb for Roma was gud. Cud pick up for under 450 and sell for double that. Downing is one of warchilds favs; ) get for under 1k and sell 1.5k.

It's a joke, he can't even add up. 12 for terry + 2200 for given does not equal 22600. And Frank Lampard for 32k I doubt it. The lowest you can get him for is about 40-47k. It's all a lie. An easier way is to search for gold players, if you see any bargains go for it. Then resell them. I got 50k in about 4-5 hours.

Great guide. I followed it well and made bout 50k, but I made the mistake of blowing it all on gold packs. My best players from them was 82 nasri. My team is. Gk-Given, Rb-G.Johnson, Lb-Abidal, Cb-D.Agger, Cb-Gamberini, Lm-Robben(81), Rm-Palacio(85), Cdm-Aquilani, Cam-Tevez(86), St-Milito, St-Aguero(86). So it's coming along nicely. At the moment I have adebayor up for starting 10k. And also I play 4-1-2-1-2.

@youngplayer well u are weak in the lm,rm,and lb positions so u need to get those players and they need to be above 80 rated and the same formation as u are playing now,u should be able to do this with 17,000.lb i would go for taiwo or abidal,lw i would go for robinho or adam johnson and for rw im not sure at the mo but u would be able to get these players for less than 17k!!!

Youngplayer a whole gold team! 5 stars counts for nothing. Go back to the drawing board and put a team together with good chemistry otherwise u will always lose online. There are so many players under 5k u can make a decent team with u only need 30k coins for the lot.

@benn and daredevil yes it will be slower then when i wrote these articles because unfortunalty the market has slowed right down,profits are still possible but you have to work that much harder to acheive them now,if you still use my method but check the market yourself to see which players are selling in this climate and then buy them players and profit from that,i must admit u will now struggle to make more than 50,000 in a day.And daredevil,my team is not that great im afraid,and i have been playing since day of release,i banked probably about 250,000 profit in the first 10 days of release which gave me the ability to create a fairly good team from the off.Good luck guys!!

a good pairing in midfield i have recently thrown together is essien and raul melares of porto. Just got SWP with robben on the wing to out pace the wing backs and big john carew to smash home the headers. played sum bloke today with xavi, villa, robben, sagna, torres, puyol, pique, casillas etc and was beating him 3-0 with 40 mins gone when he quit. you dont have to have the best rated players in the game to win!

is there any particular pack you can buy which is the best, i normally find that ronaldinho is a good pack to buy or is it just luck?
@georgee if you are on xbow its a "method" to get good packs, if you see 3 packs with the same player on it, pick the one in the middle, it doesnt matter which player it is and this is supposed to increase your chance to get a good pack =D

there is one simple way to make alot of money, and that way is called DAVID VILLA rack up around 68k during a late evening or early morning hunt for him (he usually has a lower sell rate around these times) i buy him for no more than 68-69k i then put him straight up for sale for 75k and 79k buy now, the dudes always take the buy now route within 10 minutes, So 6-10k profit of me putting him up, im gettin rich quick i have at the minute 3 david villas anione want to purchase one lemme know gammer tag SPOUSE OF HOUSE

today was a good day haha, i had spent 5k on kompany,milito,albiol,palacio andtoday i sold em all for a profit of 11k!!haha i had 26k but brought in adebayor,anelka and mandanda for a total of 17k. 11 for anelka, 5 for adebayor and 1 for mandanda and now im going to make a profit! :P

I play on psn and i believe that i have a good team. i have built up many squads like: Dream Team, England, Arsenal, Argentina and France.
My squads are good but lack the odd player to complete the squad like: Messi, Lampard, Rooney, Ribery and Henry but every time i try to buy these players they are up for a ridiculous amount of money.
Can u giv me any tips on how to get these players?

@ mac robben should go now for around 6k if not 4k because the market has dropped so players like 81 robben are not worth much now but players like inesta ramos and ozil and players who have done good in the world cup are good profit oppurtunities.

i'm on xbox, but i found that prices are lower at night. around 7 or 8:00. then in the morning they are a couple thousand more. 4-5k! so i buy players during the night and then sell them in the morning at around 10 or 12:00. Never sell players at night! (im on xbox)

Hey cheers for the guide mate, interesting and helpful :) Just wondering if you feel it is better to make small profits rapidly or larger profits which took much longer to gain? By this I mean putting it at each end of the market. Also, I tend to buy and resell players that I buy if I do not like the feel of them in game, such as recently I bought torres and 2 games later I put him on the trade pile :P do u make a small profit to begin with then as the players are more expensive increase the difference between price paid and starting / BIN price? Big fan of ure stuff btw, keep it up mate :)

I completely forgot about the fact if u sell something u get a cut off the final price, I bought David villa for 80k and sold him for 85k, but only got 81k :( still a profit so I can't complain but still :) do you reckon I should buy and sell cheaper or more expensive players? Just coz of the dip in profit u get with more expensive players coz of the higher total amount. I need to settle on a team! I keep buying and selling people, I had a great team but wanted some real stars so sold every1 and bought a decent team with drogba, torres and van persie up front, disliked, sold all (at a minor profit :) ) and bought villa, ibra, xavi and iniesta and have a bronze rest of squad lol :) btw every1, if you need a relatively cheap goal-scoring midfielder, buy the 85 version of Pizzarro, only a few k but the best long ranger I've had, better than ibra! :)

street guy use a formation that is not popular a lot cheaper to manage i like 352 works real well if u have a good midfield

Put david villa up for 45k sold for 65k, put xavi up for 25k sold for 32k, put puyol for 5k sold for 12k.. i made a 57k profit by selling the spain team and bought them back cheaper. :)

yeh, I spent a while going through different ideas that included players like gerrard, piqué and players from other leagues, an finally I figured out that this would probably be the best 100 chemistry squad. I think the worst player when they are all on form is ramos 89.
I've now sold fabiano for about 2000 and miguel for roughly 3000 (this is on ps3)
